agree, the purpose of this thread was from stock market point of view.
General thread is ok at election time, relevant to the times, but links to other social media... well, we know how unreliable it is :)

as per latest surveys BJP loosing at least 30 seats out of its 70 seats in UP to SP-BSP alliance. If BJP gets 200 - 220 seats , can its other partners win the 50 - 70 seats for majority ? it seems very close fight and I will not be surprised if NDA goes out of power. BJP may need to woo a 10 - 20 seat winning party or parties after elections.

consider me as a person who has very least of political knowledge among the folks here.

1) BJP popularity fell during demon and after that. They were loosing even in their strongholds. The height of this is when congress won in Punjab IMHO.

2) The Balakot airstrike obviously increased their popularity, but their allies have become enemies (in Andhra for example).

So my take is they will need some smaller parties support assuming bigger enemies stay united without any infight. The views are not my wishes but what I forsee.

For the stock market a very intelligent observant man told that if there is a clear majority its going to be good for the market (whoever wins is not a concern). If we have a hung parliment then we go down/sideways.

just my 1 rupee

Neck to neck fight is imminent now. There is nothing left as wave for anyone. Only thing which matters for common man is the address to core issues.

Off course there are staunch followers still who may have certain issues taking edge ahead of priorities and primary issues of concern but this time the number of such believers has come down drastically.

Parties will be really concerned about even minor swing of votes.

Why should people vote for BJP, I think pappu can do 20 times better, now we need less chest size PM , the more the size, more the distruction :D
We don't need to become world's largest economy ,We just want to live peacefully,
Your so called economic reforms distroyed common man's lives, it's better u do nothing and sit silently, if you do so, we people will live without much worries.

there can be only one clear majority that is of NDA , if NDA loses than lots of smaller parties with no clear cut leader. but who knows.
In my state UK , in 2014 BJP won 5 out of 5 , seems a repeat in 2019 as all the big congi chors have switched to BJP , now they are pure as per BJP :DD

They think janta is fool but janta sab samajhti hai , still no choice as either its congi or BJP, sides of same coin.

on a side note our new BJP CM is a relatively Imandaar aadmi , he has given permission to investigate several high profile corruption cases involving IAS/PCS/Netas . but state BJP chor netas are trying everything to remove him. I hope central BJP leaders dont buckle under pressure and give him full 5 years as CM.

I have criticised Modi in the past. My past posts are proof of it. But I can say without doubt and with full confidence that the guy deserve one more term. Five year is too short a period... one must remember the situation in which he got the reins of the country. Twin deficits. 6.5% fiscal and 4% current accounts. Currency was sinking like India is next Venezuela.

Modi has no doubts not fulfilled many promises and has disappointed on many things but he has NOT done anything wrong to not deserve another term.

He has given the cleanest government, I would even say since Independence no government has been as honest as his! No chori chapati, loot maar in his rule. No corruption charge on any minister. He has done a lot to improve brand India which was in tatters when the UPA left. A lot has been done for India's poor. A lot has been done in other areas. Wish he has done much more for the middle-class and jobless graduates youngsters.

Fairly judging his rule, I would say he must get another term with a full majority. Not voting for Modi is not his loss. It is your and your country's loss.

The less said about the alternative or the opposition the better. My "slave/gulaam" friends won't like if I say what I think about them, especially about "that" glorified 24 carat media-made-and-hyped duffer who is unfit to even become a chaprasi.

Choice is between slow progress vs chaos (led by proven chors who are hell bent on making India another Venezuela by their reckless regressive socialist policies.)

I hope and pray my fellow countrymen will chose wisely. And sorry if anyone is hurt, I don't mince words. :)

Yes, many people have their own reasons for wanting Modi back. Mine is inflation control, as was with Atalji's government.

But I fear that Modi's own followers may spoil the things for him, with their uncontrolled aggressive behaviour and language. For NDA-1, it was the Shining India campaign, and we lost a good government. For NDA-2, it may be the excess of personality over the party.
