hi zerodha

i have got both the forms ( trading and ilfs )

now what is that i have two do?

1)2 copies pan card
2)2 copies driving license
3)2 colour photos ( 1 pasted in trading form other in ilfs form with signature across both )
4)2 cheques ( one cancelled other Rs 600 favouring zerodha )
5)1 copy latest IT returns
6)photo with pancard clearly visible

no my doubts are the following

1) is there anything i should write on the two forms other than put the signautre where mentioned ( should i write my name or mobile number or email id or whatever anywhere in the forms ; if yes please mention where?)
2) it is for the first time i am using internet banking: when i logged into my account and tried to view my income tax statement it was displayed " NO PAN NUMBER MAPPING FOR THE ACCOUNT NUMBER " is this a problem?

Hello Team,
I have submitted the forms on wednesday to Parvez for a trading account? Can I expect the account created today?

Thanks.

We were updating our backoffice servers and hence your account wasn't opened, we will have it up tomorrow and you should receive your login and trading passwords tomorrow...

If you have received a courier from our side the front page of the cover will ask you for a few basic details... If you are printing your own forms, just note on a sheet of paper, your email id: , mobile phone number: , mothers name: , everything else will be available on the proofs that you provide...

It is alright if no PAN is mapped to your banking account, as long as you are able to do online fund transfers, shouldn't be an issue... It would be better if you can cross check with your bank once again...

@zerodha,

I had sent the forms on Wednesday and they reached you by thursday. But I might have missed a couple of signatures in the demat account form. So, have reprinted those two pages, signed them and couriered them back.

Hope to trade with my new account soon...

Cheers!

Dear Sachin (Zerodha),

I have sent you an email with my contact number yesterday evening and followed up with some more details today morning.

Hoping to get a call from one of your associate today. Looking forward to trade with Zerodha.

Cheers

While I was so excited with the prospect of having my account with Zerodha, but now I am a tad dissappointed with both Zerodha and the courier services they are using... :(

1. I have called Zerodha office multiple times since 4th of January as this was the date I was told I should receive the courier with account opening forms. This is over and above 3-4 emails which I have already sent. I have been able to speak to Bharath couple of times who informed me the courier has reached gurgaon but has not been delivered to me yet. I requested him to provide me with a phone number of professional couriers for Gurgaon and he promised that he will call me back...but no call back. Had I received this contact number yesterday, I would have picked up the form personally from their office .... In any case, this is the reason I am dissappointed with their courier service .... a courier not delievered even after 7 days ..!!!!

2. In any case, I called Zerodha office yesterday morning and spoke to someone and explained my situation. I requested the person to email me the soft copy of the form instead so that I can atleast start completing the process without waiting for courier .....he promised he will email me the form immediately in next 5 minutes. I never recieved the email either....

Then I called later in the afternoon again and spoke to Mr Bharath again, explained him the courier situation as well as again requested him to email me the forms... he promised me he will in the next 5 minutes but again no email....

Not sure if this is what every out of station customer has to go through with Zerodha during the account opening process ..or is it just me having a hard time with them...

But if Zerodha aspires to be the number one online brokers in India with office only in a couple of cities, they will have to be innovative and overcome this logistical issues soon....

Anyways ...the wait continues for either the courier or the email.....

Cheers

Re: new cheapest broker is here. Zerodha

The margin funding account will give you leverage only on delivery positions. Basically if you have 1 lk in your account you can buy 2.85 times of delivery position with that funds. You can't use the 2.85 times to take position in futures and options..... Sachin...
HI ZERODHA PLEASE CLARIFY THIS DOUBT FOR ME

1)suppose if i have one lakh in my trading account can i buy 2850 shares (equity) of Rs 100 for delivery?

2)what is the exposure for intra day trading (equities) ?

3)what is the margin requirement for futures? say nifty futures is trading at 6000 i.e it is worth 50*6000= Rs 300000 : how much amount do i need to buy one lot of nifty intraday and one lot overnight?

4)how much money do i need i my account to but one lot ( 4000 ) suzlon energy shares trading at a price of 55 intraday and overnight?

Hi,

Professional couriers seems the best people to partner with and apparently they had tried reaching you a few times on the weekday...

Have emailed you the soft copy of the forms, the POD number and contact number of professional couriers in Gurgaon.

Sorry about any delay in not sending an email on time...Will get Bharath to call up courier company and call you back...

Cheers..
