hi sachin,
thanks for the reply on demat charges again;).
coming to trading have a small doubt.say i hve 35k in my account and have been day trading 3 lots.i want to carryon with my position overnight to capitalize on the trend.as only 35k is there,2 lots will be squared off after 3:10 and my open position will be 1 lot.
on the next day if i want to day trade on 3 lots(1 lot overnight + 2 lots) should i square off overnight position and start afresh for 3 lots or can i just buy 2 lots.
thanks in advance

We have already had this discussion before, transaction charges is not only nse transaction charge, there is something also called as clearing charges that is included in them... These costs vary from broker to broker and keeps reducing as the volume keeps going higher...With us the transaction charges suddenly seem higher because the brokerage is so much lower...An RKG charges 0.0072% as transaction charges on options, 0.0065 by indiabulls, 0.008 by Religare, the only ones who don't charge any additional charges for clearing are icici and hdfc and you know for what reasons....As I said, if you compare us to the broker who charges 9 rs per lot is hardly anything...But as I said this cost is variable and as the volume keeps picking up this cost will reduce for us and passed on to the client...
Brokerage cost of Option Trading is less compare to 9 Rs per lot if some one trade 5 to 10 lots in one order.

Brokerage cost of trading in FUTURE Contract is very high (40 per Order + 21.35 per Lot)compare to 9+9 Rs per Lot ( Transaction Charge 0.0054 VS 0.0019 , almost 3 times)

Dear ZerodhaPlease think about it. I hope Zerodha will consider soon
Thanks..

No you don't need to square off your overnight position, next day morning you will be able to buy 2 more lots... cheers...
