"see our TP bhai's comment" - precisely. Diversity of opinions is the essence of democracy. Govt went TPs way initially - and thus they should have set up ration and living arrangements for the migrant contingency.
Govt. went my way finally - and they should have setup the transport arrangements. I posit that neither of the two was done adequately. This resulted in the crisis rather than some conspiracy theory of "instigation" (which reminds me of Indira ji's days and "videshi shaktiyo ka haath" in every insignificant misfortune of the nation)
Anyway, this is a spiraling discussion with new points being brought-in, in each iteration.
Let's close the discussion with civility saying that it's a subjective matter. My subjective opinion is that for a competent administration, 19 days is long enough to anticipate such contingencies and make ready the infrastructure for them - food and living arrangements if staying (following TPs suggestion), transport, screening and isolation if leaving (following my suggestion) - and in my opinion, none of the two were done adequately or timely. Only half measures, that too when push came to shove. But I may be wrong.
You probably think that it takes much longer for setting up screening infrastructure, transport services or re-orienting the PDS system and you might be right.
Tabhlighi is a new point, which was not brought up in our previous posts and hence will need elaborate discussion, which looks unlikely. But keeping it brief, it was very badly covered by the media (for fake news reporting, alt and newslaundry have 2 articles with references, if interested) and distracted from many other
equally important issues which should have received equal screen-time. Edit: Also, tabhligi had completed the "unfurling" (even on news channels, becoming stale news) at least a week prior to lockdown ending on 14th April.
Since this is a unilateral closure of discussion on this topic, you have the right to concluding comment.
