Uma is not well. So, there is no update. May be after a couple of days, you may get updates after Uma is back into action. Meanwhile, you may yourself update the latest Excel sheet uploaded by Uma on 24-11-09 (If you have AmiBroker).

Thanks Anant Sir, thts why I was thinking that something is wrong...Wish I cud be of some help in this..but not having Ambibroker...Can I do it manually till Uma is fine...let me try over the weekend, and will try to update it in excel..

In ' parameters' you have the option of selecting triggers,update and SL.
you get the buy and sell from 'triggers'

Hello Rajesh, In New Updater Afl When I Hit Parameters Ami Shows 'No Parameters To Modifty.' For Short Term Triggers There Are No Sell Triggers Either Target Price Or S/L Price Becomes Exit. My Query Is Regarding Uma's Past Update Post:

"Savantji has mentioned some stocks which shall be exited if they fall below previous low irrespective of Stop Loss. These will be separately listed as "Exit Triggered Stocks". The previous low is mentioned as "Threshold" Price.

It would be tedious to update the Excel sheet manually. There are nearly 300 triggers starting from May 2009. In addition, you will have to get fresh triggers from Savant. It would be easier if you have Amibroker and run the New Updater AFL.

I am out of Hyderabad and so, not having access to my data. Shall return and do the updates tomorrow.

Hi Doc,

both the New and the old updater do not give buy/sell triggers. These triggers are given by Savant.triggers. The updater AFL simply watch for target and SL and flag when the stock price reaches either of these limits. If SL is hit, the stock goes out of the list. If target is hit, Savant gives new target/SL and the same is updated manually. The Exit List from Savant is also manually checked and marked in the Excel sheet. For these stocks in the Exit List if the low price of today is lower than yesterday's low, then exit.

If you are using Nea AFL, DO NOT PRESS 'PARAMETERS' button. It will lead to some errors.

a) Anant & I Do Not Scan For All The Stocks Listed On The Exchanges, Some Of Them You Have Listed Out In Your Post May Be Illiquid, Therefore Prudent Thing Would Be To Take The Cautious Path & Stay Away from Such Scrips.

b) Anant Has Already Mentioned That He Is Scanning With A Slightly Modified AFL Which Has Not Been Posted Yet, Hence One Should Not Worry Too Much If The Trigger List Doesn't Match With Yours.
