@ seniors, please comment and suggest improvements

1. "Buy Supported by TF and ST" - What is TF?

2. It helps to plot %K also, because the crossover between %D and %K will
give the confirmation wherever required.

3. Around the same time the divergence is observed by you, if you look at the
lows of the %K line, there has been bullish divergence, confirmed by the crossover
between %K and %D. And it gave about 50 points after the crossover!

4. Data: In my charts, %D has not gone to OB zone after 2:00 pm, as pointed
out in your chart. I don't know whether my data is correct or your data is
correct, but the thing to be remembered is the data what we have may not
be correct also at times! :)

It's good that you are taking various parameters into consideration, for taking
a signal. I hope such approach will be more beneficial in the long run, though
hitting stop losses at times is not avoidable.. !!

Keep posting.. If you want to include features other than Stoch, you may
post in ST's other thread 'Thoughts on Day/Swing trading'

1) TF is the indicator of bullishness / bearishness on time frame as indicated by this system NMA, i think it is based on Heikin Ashi
2) can u please post the image where u got the bullish divergence, it will be lot more helpful
3) plz note this chart is for spot nifty, you might be using futures data so image different, plz revert back

I have tried Trix indicator on hourly charts for swing trading ( holding positions from 2-8 days ) and it works very well. But not tried it for intraday trading.

Dada,

I have a query here, about TRIX.
when i plotted it, along with a MACD right below it (both with default settings), they looked exactly similar and gave identical signals. (obviously, since TRIX is derived from moving averages and smoothed)

is there any advantage of using one over the other?
or can we do away with them and use EMAs as a trend measuring indicator?

thanks

Dear ST
it would be very nice of you if you could point out some observations and important points to keep in mind while trading with trix in your swing trading method
