Re: Hello.
Hello,
(I think I will manage to get expert advice here too.)
I need an alternate Internet connection, a wireless one. One of those USB things.
Which company should I go for? Reliance, Tata, Airtel, Vodafone? Which gives better speed?
Please provide info. I think such a thing is a must for a trader.
Amit.
Dear Amit,
Your primary selection should be BSNL's new EVDO connection. It uses CDMA2 and will be having much much higher bandwidth than these usual reliance(amount the best)/tata/idea(the worst one)/airtel/bsnl's CDMA1 set-ups. Also the cost for EVDO is around 700/month I think.
If and only if BSNL EVDO is not available go for Reliance Data Card (Reliance Netconect Rs:1500/month for unlimited plan, will get free data card if you pay 12 months rent in advance). Their customer support ( *255 ) is excellent.
And finally never go for Idea(Net setter) even if you have any other choice. Ideas features are as below,
1. Extremely bad service.
2. Most times the connection is useless.
3. Extremely irresponsible and badly trained Customer care service.
All from my experience of more than 5 years with these connections except BSNL EVDO (Its a new system)
Haribird.
