People have made up their mind. Now no use whether First Post or some think tank posts any article bashing the Govt. The credibility of such findings is suspect and statistics can be twisted anywhich way. They will do better preserving their research for 2024 general elections.

ST da, what if an iota of this is true?

The news is so biased (its either bjp or for congress) what is truth? How will we know what is actually happening?

If there are job losses (big IF), shouldn’t there be any discussion so govt takes appropriate actions? (Frankly same goes with any topic of discussion.. cow lynching, rafale or no action on corruption, wadra still on bail etc)

Should public just vote and keep hands over hands and wait for next 5 years?

Survey is done by asking people “ do you have a job ?” A self employed or a entrepreneur will reply “no” but that does not mean he is not earning anything.

If so many jobs are lost, it will be difficult to walk on the roads even in day time...looting,dacoity will increase but we don’t find any such thing....on the contrary if we try to get plumbers or carpenters for our home jobs, no one is interested in doing a job for 1 hr and get Rs 300 -400 For it.This means people are earning enough money by real estate broking, political patronage, land dealings etc and there is hardly any unemployment so severe that is made out to be.

I read statistics few days back that Govt,s contribution to PRovidend fund has increased. Now this contribution cannot increase if there are job losses...so statistics is from both sides....

Govt cannot provide sarkari jobs for all...people have to learn skills and be self employed.Govt is buckling under the weight of salaries and Govt pensions...no money left for development and then they will harass the taxpayers for paying more taxes.

Even in Govt departments ( and banks ) now they give more PF and encourage staff to invest in pension funds. I am told even in Army now they give more PF and want to reduce pension burden.

very true. The article I shared above shares same views as yours. Jobs are there but not in hightech sector as everyone thinks will be. Good thing the survey points is even 5-8 class pass is getting job in formal sector.

Although those who are self employed doesn’t think themselves as employed but are doing current work (broker, etc) until they could find suitable (what they think for them) job.

My assumption is this problem is caused by population plus automation.

Even the government statistics have to be viewed through a jaundiced eye, for every government. Is the increment inflation adjusted ?? Has the percentage increased/decreased ??

As for the taxes, they never come down much anyway, for every government. The inflation is under control as per the CPI and WPI data, then why the increases in DA ??

The politicians have pampered the government employees by giving out perks disproportionate to the economy. They have pampered the public by promising reservations and government jobs to this community and that.

They sow the seeds of discontent during the election time by making promises they can not fulfil, and the public reaps the punishment in the later years. The cycle repeats. The politicians catch whatever they perceive as the raw nerve that will touch the voters, and exploit it through saturation advertising.

Want to add as the tax free income in hand of Pvt employee is increasing employers are increasing basic, for some companies have an option of setting their basic pay to their needs....due to this also PF figure can appear skewed....I see lot of fresh engineer graduates not finding jobs ...and doing odd jobs....lot of science graduates and commerce graduate are joining zomato, ola, swiggy etc as a temporary job

For a change, this election they are harassing corrupt politicians (MP raid, Kazimodi raid) :D:D
These raids don’t make a dent....they have deep pockets....if MP could generate few hundred crores in few months, political party in South was found with 11 Cr cash....the list is endless and from all regions and parties...

Every paycommission report and Govt gets burdened by additional salaries and perks....in some jobs in Govt and armed forces the pension an officer gets after he retires from the service is Rs 1.25 L - 1.75 L per month.....it is crippling the Govt. But this burden no Govt will be bold to reduce...same with reservations...no Govt will bite the bullet.Every Govt says why rock the boat ? Make money for 5 years we are in power....
