what this Govt lacks is accountability and credibility. If data doesn't suits them they restructure departments or way to get the new data. NSSO, GDP restructuring are latest case. If data is not good, the govt need to accept it and work on fixing the core issue. Saying GDP was highest during the demonetisation period when everyone know nothing was working for 3 whole months is absurd. Anyway this forum is for predicting election results and not for political discussion.

My prediction are pragmatic, NDA getting less seats due to combination of factors and there *could* be demand from NDA MahaGathbandhan of 35 parties demand another leadership.

There was scheme launched under EPFO called PMRPY, in that companies share of PF contribution was born by central govt for every new employment created. For the purpose of determining first time employment Aadhar number was used, data shows 2 crore new employment generated in formal sector in last 2and half years.

I think unemployment is increasing due to higher population. Every year 2+ cr youth enter workforce. Although bjp promised 2 cr jobs every year in their last manifesto they too couldn’t deliver this number and neither can anyone else due to the sheer number we are growing!

Current election is a litmus test or to say, test of survival for many regional and national political parties

They will survive...

Previous elections saw parties like BSP wiped out clean. However state level politics (cow/religion/caste/lynching) made sure they will come back this time around. BJP state leadership forgot that majority of UP citizens voted them in 2014 general election to the point not a single muslim MP got selected. It meant that people trusted them for development. Instead some of energy was used towards cow economics and name changing which may not go well for some segments and also with Farmers.

there is another article on TOI about job and education correlation and it's matter of grave concern if anything of this sort is true.

As par the article, more jobs are created in formal sector but most are for people with lower education (e.g. taxi, delivery or security) others who are doing self-employment don't think themselves as employed as it's not their first choice (e.g. Insurance agent, credit card seller or similar things may even including farming)

Population explosion combined with technology advancements (e.g. automation) means India will be deep trouble in coming years...

Here is more ammunition for the opposition parties :

https://www.firstpost.com/india/50-...e-rose-to-over-6-percent-in-2018-6462541.html

50 lakh people lost jobs since demonetisation in 2016, reveals latest report on job crisis; unemployment rate rose to over 6% in 2018

It's not any official statistics. This is a study conducted by an independent think tank, so the timing of its release is suspect.
Firstpost, scroll are considered pro congress. Now a days very difficult to believe authenticity of these articles , almost all media houses are biased. The pillars of democracies ( Law , Media ) are falling.

Major problem is we do not have any correct measure to get the true pictures. Atleast I can tell 30 odd people in my friend , colleagues and relative circle who left their jobs in IT , Engineering to ventured into hotel business , cab services , Real estate ( constructing and renting) , Flower business, Shops, dairy farm in last 2 to 3 years. They are earning decent though not same as their jobs. But definitely they are not paying proper taxes and taking different ways to evade taxes.

Not all the jobs lost are without earning for sure. Not sure if these data captures all these people as jobless or not. Most of these guys are actually creating jobs for another 3/4 guys.
