at the outset I am also a novice and please no sir, just Sanamtrade, ok, as per the registered version is concerned, I can't help it, you have find it for yourself where to get the registered version, hope u will get it, and before asking anything I would recommend you to go to the Amibroker site, and secondly go through the User's manual of Amibroker, I am sure you will find all the answers there........just try it once........best wishes

BUT I SEE A MESSAGE AS " UNREGISTERED VERSION- DOES NOT SAVE CHANGES......yes it will not save the changes, everytime you open Ami u will get default chart and not the chart you had created as per your choice.....

As per as getting to learn the basics of TA is concerned, web is a place where it will be your KG, u can't graduate out from web, u need read the literature and do practicals to get the graduate degree, masters degree, well no idea......:clap:

I would suggest you to go through the whole thread.

If you have downloaded trial version of Amibroker you can download quotes via amiquote. Tools>>Auto update quotes (amiquote only). Amiquote downloads data from *****. Here you have 2 choices, ***** Historical to download historical data and ***** Current to download today's data.

Under Amibroker user's guide>>Tutorial>>updating quotes>>how to get quotes, various compatible data sources are given. You may use either of them as per your requirement(but they are very expensive).

If you are looking for EOD data, you may use utilities developed by traderji members like Pankaj (PKJha), cemcompusoft and hemenkapadia, which are available free of cost. I have used GetBhavCopy by hemen kapadia and it works perfectly. You may download the same from his website hemenkapadia dot somee dot com . On same site, he has given help on how to install and run the software (very simple).

To see the data downloaded by GetBhavCopy in Amibroker, you will have to create a new database by clicking on File>>new>>Database and doing settings as explained in attached image. Here I have configured GetBhavCopy to download EOD data in the directory C:\program files\amibroker\BhavCopy
After creation of this new database, every download by GetBhavCopy is to be imported in Amibroker using File>>Import ASCII and then giving path of the latest file downloaded by GetBhavCopy.

To download realtime data, you will first have to decide between which RT data source is ok with you. Realtime data is expensive, involves lot of maintenance and issues related to data cleanliness, etc. and at least I am not using Free RT data. You may browse Amibroker Section in this forum to find more on data sources available. Googling and searching on the net will also help you identify the various options available to you alongwith their prices. Once you subscribe to any of these data sources, they generally issue step by step instruction as to how to import data downloaded by their softwares into Amibroker. It is advisable to opt for the smallest package from the vendor (may be little expensive), check the features and if they suit to your needs then going ahead with yearly subscription.

we can run more than one instances of amibroker on same PC.normally when I import data in one amibroker,I watch charts on another.Are there other possibilities with this feature?Can I fetch data from two data sources at the same time?

Data feeding part, well there are no of plugins in built with Ami, alos they are propietory and they charge you, by the way reading users guide in the first place would be much useful, also try searching here in Traderji for data to ami, may be u can get Bhavcopy developed by Hemen for EOD, and for rt data developed by Joy etc....why i am telling you to try a little searching is that , while doing that u will stumble upon many things which even the pros do not know....all the very best........your first equity to the market should be your hard work....:clap:

Yes you can run multiple instances of ami at once, i do it sometimes with 1st for EOD & 2nd for RT data from quotetracker...

hi to all ......i think amibroker is user friendly for commands/functions which are already
given by amibroker ,but hard part abt amibroker is its language and things which are related to its scanning process,custom indicators,formulas and backtesting process ......it will be good time if people over there starts

i need help with rateserver..
i have downloaded plugin of metatrader4 and followed all the given procedures but then too i am getting problems with registeing rateserver...
i also have tried to register using command prompt but without success....
please help me out....

Yes,NSE bhavcopy may surve the purpose.Its free and the first one to published by nse itself withOUT any error.try it.DOWNLOAD IT FROM NSE WEBSITE .I am using the same with trail version of amibroker.
