Amibroker Database for NSE stocks

Hi Karthik,

I have used Mike's txt files from 2004 onwards to make a new database. In this I applied your stock sector/ industry afl.

This is more a hobby so I am coming back after a gap. You had other afl's or maybe Murthy Garu had posted them, where you had to do the charts part. Can you post these too so that I can apply the same and see.

I guess in Mike's txt file the indices are missing so maybe we will not be able to make sectoral charts or graphs but do advice.

I am posting the updated file so that you can check if all is OK. I think when I tried to load your latest file, over the last one, I got some gibberish and therefore I restarted with a fresh file.

I will experiment and keep you posted. I have also used TANewbie's Funda data and Adeers Watchlists too.

Best of Luck

Jay

Dear Jay,

The data for the indices exists in the text files as uploaded. One can check it by opening the file in notepad. However the data for synthetic indices as created by Karthik's & Murthy's thread or as created by Adheer's thread has not been included. The option has been kept open for users for creation of synthetic indices of their own choice.

Regards,

hi all,

8) it is preferable to confirm the 'possible split' from other sources. i find this NSE link helpful for confirmation of a split for a stock from the announcements:
http://www.nse-india.com/content/cor...troduction.htm

i also find the below link useful, though not & complete:

http://www.investsmartindia.com/iil_...ch/rights.aspx
The links when clicked are not working as they are not complete. Please if you could post the completed links I would be thankful.

Hi Karthik, MurthyMSR

I am facing a strange problem. The industry allocations are not happening right. For example: FAGBEARING is coming under GOLD and SILVER industry.Likewise BHUSHANSTEEL,etc are coming under Non Metallic Mining.

This is my second time that I have repeated this. And strangely the same thing is happening.
I can right now, think of one thing about its cause. Might be the industry index you allocated in the stockindustry file is different from the default one which I am having.

Do let me know.
