Hats off to all of you !!!
:clapping::clapping::clapping:
Am I missing something or are you guys kidding me?
AFAICS there is one and only one who did the coding here and that is Edward Pottasch.
The rest is copy & pasting.
I call it adorn oneself with borrowed plumes.

BTW, again no one has any clue how to use code tags.

Yes, Trash, you are missing the point, as usual!!

If only you had taken pains to read before reacting, you'd realize that my post was directed to Amit and intention was merely to disown the credit!!

As for the Casoni, he too has already acknowledged significance of contribution of Pottasch, not only in the post but also in the AFL's title.

And just for the heck of it, I am going to stop using the code tags from today onwards.

Lastly, adornment with borrowed plume is better than stinking trash.

Casoni you have done great work for TJ people !! but this code is not representing what ST da is saying regarding swing struture !! see this image below

Below is the reply of ST da ..about AFL for this gaps..(swing gaps)

All these apply all the more to fast paced markets. The basics remain same in all markets.

Gaps identification is by seeing them...no AFL....our eyes are the best tools God has given us. I rely a lot on visual identification.

Ofcourse Edward Pottasch deserves the credit.
Sorry for missing his name.
Casoni has already acknowledged his name in the AFL and his post.

But a great bit of credit goes to
Casoni,Raghuveer and mastermind for understanding the concept,framing the rules and editing/copying/modifying this code to the requirement.

Thanks for your comments.
This AFL is a good starting point.We need to refine the code as and when required,but that will come with time.

For newbie traders like me , this AFL is good to start with.

This cannot be made !!
How many candle needed to form a swing ?? answer is blank!! because it is the struture which may develop from 3 or 4 or 6... we don't know ..so practise it from naked charts !!! this is the only solution i think!!
it is not possible to have a perfect AFL for this !!!
This is what ST da is saying !!!! Any ways carry on the work!!:)

Code:
[quote="niftychartreader, post: 1040191"]Thanks bro

Beside that line the following lines are also showing error.

[CODE]
Plot(pkHigh1,"",colorBlue,24,Null,Null,0,2,1);
Plot(trLow1,"",colorRed,24,Null,Null,0,2,1);
Plot(gapBase,"",colorlightgrey,styledashed,Null,Nu ll,0,2,1);
Plot(gapExtr,"",colorlightgrey,styledashed,Null,Nu ll,0,2,1);
PlotOHLC(gapBase,gapBase,gapExtr,gapExtr,"",IIf(ga pExtr>gapBase,colorseaGreen,colorOrange),styleClou d|styleNoRescale,Null,Null,0,-1,1);
Please suggest some solution for this also.[/CODE]

Please read the Manual about Plot and u will get the answer.

Ur version does not supports such parameters of the Plot function - so the errors are cropping, read again and code in that way to get the code error free

Thanks

A bulk of the development in almost all fields is incremental improvement (that necessarily is based on someone's duly acknowledged work).

In all posts where casoni has posted afl code he clearly mentioned Edward Pottasch name as the author. See below:
i think this code will do the job ,[ as per rules you have mentioned ]
* its Edward Pottasch code

// AFL code by Edward Pottasch
,
Many Many Thanks to Edward Pottasch , for taking out his precious time and coded this concept
casoni has clearly acknowledged Pottasch in every post with afl code.

No one else has claimed any credit for the afl. So why the insinuation? Why the negativity?

I compliment you on the aptness of the id trash you chose for yourself. Like your id, your post is also stinking trash.
