Just started trading today with NOW.exe.. (With profits though :clap the application is fast and lighter the tick updation is very fast. Even faster that the TT Advance which i used to use earlier.. however NOW was getting hung every now and then.. did not quiet really get it how to solve it.. i tried refreshing the broadcast but never worked.. i had to log out and re-login again..

Zerodha / Sachin any light on that???? i guess it was specific to me but dont know how to fix it..

One more thing.. as in the case of ODIN does not our MTM and Gain / Loss update tickwise in market depth window (When we press F6)..????? coz i had Manually refresh all the all the time to see the Gain / Loss updating by ticks..

Don't use the intraday charting on the NOW terminal presently...If you have to then use it on the TAME... Thing with NOW exe is that it needs 512kbps to show a good performance, lower speeds can reduce the system performance...
For you continous M2M update, go to f11(admin positions) and you can see it on a continuous basis...

Yes i am refereing to NOW.exe... its not responding to me as well...once click on intraday chart then its gone!!! it gets hung and never responds i have to close the application i have never seen charts on it from the time i have got this..coz it hangs.. i dont know we need to open the ports or something.. Sachin's advice will be helpful !!! any thoughts sachin????

If you are working behind a firewall then few ports have to be opened.. But don't click on the intraday chart on the NOW terminal as it uses a lot of bandwidth ...

This is what i have been expecting with NSE now for some time. Zerodha may be a successful model, but, when they secure more and more clients and with that, if NSE now started functioning badly, who will take the blame? who will try and resolve issues?

We have seen quite a bit of these things with private brokers such as ICICI site not working at times of heavy movements, RKG's ODIN issues are very popular, SK's terminal also frequently hangs, Reliance issues.

We all know abt NSE complaint resolution delays. What will they do with NSE NOW complaints? Act swiftly??

And beyond this, if one more broker launches 15Rs per trade and starts pumping more and more traders into NSE NOW...hell may break loose

And there are guys who started worrying abt NSE NOW going paid...

Let us see what happens

This is in regards to trading, NSE has probably done the best job of managing exchange servers till date... 4 limit down days in 10 years and not even 1 default... We need to give them their due for that...

Who is facing issues with NOW??? We have over 1000 ACTIVE intraday traders and many on traderji also... The exe platform needs 512kbps atleast for its best performance...Till date if there is any facing problem with NOW it is mainly because of the internet or the system configuration...

When we decided to partner NSE for NOW, the most important question that we asked them was scalability...NSE said, they will be able to support upto 70% of NSE's trading volumes only using NOW... Today it is 1% of NSE volumes that come through NOW...

And about this whole discussion on if any other brokers can do it at our prices ... Others probably can, but what you need to realize is that it is not only the cost but also the way we are serving our customers that is different...We slowly intend to move away from our USP of 20rs/trade to the most friendly stock broker in the country...

About NSE NOW going paid, who is in a better position to know about it, us as members of NSE or you ?? For now we are told it will happen for only dealer terminals and even if it gets charged, we will have to find a way to work around...

Sorry I checked it monday/tuesday but same error...I am totally handicapped; I was using NOW.exe java in my PC, NOW mobile java version 1.2.6, and low bandwith version without any problem since last week. Since friday evening I noticed that I can login through NOW.exe pc version and WEB version only; while trying to login java mobile NOW, it says error user id/ password wrong.Same is true about LOW BAND WITH web version also and it also shows same error. I am very much sure that I am using same member id/userid/password that i used with NOW.EXE and not doing any mistake while entering them.

As I am frequently out of my office, these are the only viable option for me.

Here again I want to quote that last week I was trading without a single problem through Mobile version.Please look into the matter seriously.


NB: Spoken to zerodha Help line in the morning regarding this and spoken to a muthurajan regarding this, as per his advice mailed my complaint to him....lets c.

Hi Vijay,

If you are using an Antivirus program then exclude the NOW folder from scanning. I think this should help.

when u say NOW hung..... r u referring to NOW.exe or nowonline.in? coz i am facing the same problem but with .exe .... the not responding massage appears time n again n some time it crashes....... actully i only used NOW over a week now n it hanged quite a few times and crashed once after giving me not responding massage on window panel

Your machine contains spywares. Thats the reason why the software hangs and crashes. Scan your pc with latest anti spyware software like spyware doctor and your pc will be running smoothly. Also scan your computer with latest antivirus.
