Hi Sachin,

I have got your excel sheet for calculation of total charges, brokerage and taxes etc. Very informative.

If the excel sheet has another column, where the user can enter the tariffs charged by his present / alternate broker and the same traded prices & quantities, a comparative assessment can be made by the user of how much the difference can be.

As your brokerage appears to be the lowest, may be you only can do it, without any embarrassment.

Thanks.

Hi
Shachin
Good job-- You are leading the 'changing of the %brokerage situation of the Indian stock market'.
Also you are answering the questions raised by the most concerned are- i,e the traders in such a community platform.
Now I need your advice-- I have requested for an account+dp openning form in your website but I think your website form maybe little faster but I am not sure about the number of pages I have to print- Please tell me about that.
Thanks and hope for the best,
Roysou
Thanks,

30 pages of trading and around 20 pages of demat ... Yes printing the forms would be a much faster way of doing it... If you are printing the forms, we have started to give Rs 100 discount on account opening, which should take care of the printing costs.. The account opening fees would be Rs 500 for demat and trading... Cheers..

Hi Sachin,

I am not advising any company. I already have a Trading A/c with your company. I just posted this article to show the %age brokerage scenario in India.
Hi,

I was referring to the person who has written that article..:) .. Deepak shenoy is an advisor with Zerodha......

Hi zerodha pl clarify the fwg. If i want to write 1 lot of nifty put options at strike price of 5900 n one lot of nifty call at strike price of 6300 n simultaneously buy one lot of nifty call n put at strike price 6100 can i place the complete order in one go n pay only rs 20 or i will have to place seperate orders. Secondly how much margin will i need to do this. Thanks

Will give you an example..

Assume you have 1lk in your trading account, with 1lk, you can buy 9 lots of nifty for intraday and 3 lots for overnight...You don't need to mention intraday or overnight, if you have margins you can hold it overnight otherwise we will square off between 3.10pm to 3.30pm which is excess positions... So out of 9 lots 6 lots will get squared off if you don't bring in extra margin to hold...
Hi zerodha. Can we check before placing order that how much margin will a position need for carrying overnight. Secondly in case of a hedged position in index options needing more margin than available in ac how will you square off some qty at end of day. Will you square off one lot from all strike prices or any one strike price
