What are the charges for placing orders of mutual funds and how many AMCs are there on your platform? Are charges, if any, on both sides and will a small rs 500 SIP or lump sum mutual fund investment be charged as per plan I'll be choosing (Rs 20 or %age one). Honestly, 2.59 deadline looks quite lucrative.
Thanks.
SIP's can't be done online as they would require a ECS form, as brokers we will not have a facility to debit your bank account every month... Though MFSS is available online the facility for buying mutual funds would be available only by Jan end.... 2.59 deadline??

Finally was able to login in last night and familiarise myself with all the myriad NOW options. Spent over an hour tinkering around the marketwatch and it's columns to set it to my liking.

Thanks again for all your support. I also did a token NEFT transfer to Zerodha at 1:11am via IDBI Bank to see how it goes. Client ID mentioned in the remarks column. It still hasn't shown up in my Backoffice ledger. Looks like today is a bank holiday probably!

Once things are smoothened out, will transfer more margin on Monday.

Looking forward to trying out new scalping strategies on NOW Exe, thanks to the lower brokerage you guys offer!!
Hi, It will show in your trading account first thing on monday morning... All backoffice gets updated at 6 to 7 pm everyday... When you transfer funds it will show up first in your front end(NOW ) and then the update on backoffice will happen at the end of the day... Cheers...

hello mr.zerodha,i heard u cut all intraday positions by 3.10 p.m is it true?is there any chance u can increase it to till 3.25 or so?
Mr Zerodha?? :) ... Though we mention that intraday square off happen at 3.10pm, we try to do it as late as possible(usually around 3.20)....So can I commit on 3.25?? I can't... But we know that last half hour is pretty volatile and a lot of traders would want some flexibility there and hence we try to do it everyday only by around 3.20...

We give a good intraday exposure for an online discount broker and we don't want to compromise on any risk management rules... The extra time is because if on a particular day the risk management software fails, we will have enough time to square off positions manually...

Cheers...

Automated Processes for Faster Processing

The National Exchange Automated Trading-Mutual Fund Service System (MFSS) has been set up on the NSE NOW Trading platform allowing you to trade in mutual funds seamlessly. Using this fully computerized online system, you can subscribe to or redeem funds right up to the mutual funds markets trading deadline of 2.59 PM in convenient fashion right from your terminal.
Also on it's inclusion for trading/investment by end of Jan 11, what would be the charges? The current slab of ours we'll choose? Thanks for info about SIPs.

A minimum of 1 dp is required even if you intend to do no delivery based trading... If you don't intend to do any delivery based trading(equity) then there is no need of opening a fresh DP with us, but if you intend to do then you need to open a new DP with us... By delivery based trading I mean buying shares for delivery and holding it in your demat, you can buy it through us and the shares that you buy gets credited to the DP that you have linked, but if you want to sell the shares from your DP, we can't do it if it is not our DP.. Cheers...
Hi, if I open DP account with you along with trading account, is it possible to transfer shares from my old DP account to your DP account, and then transfer shares to your pool account? I am asking this since I have many shares in my exiting DP account and I need some way to sell them. Also, I still have not received any forms. I called 2 weeks ago but nothing has been delivered. Thanks.

This means if I link a different DP than IILFS I won't be able to do positional or swing trades by taking delivery and finishing both sides trade from solely your broking house but have to sell from my old DP provider?

If I rely only on cash and don't use margins will I be able to take delivery and sell from your a/c? I do the same on RKG where I don't take margins and they allow to carry my postions and a/c is linked with a different DP.
