...............
As per your request, did try to put up something about Zerodha on the forum. Don't think the moderator want's anything promotional being put up..
.................
This is what makes this forum an enjoyable place for knowing / learning !

Thanks to traderji.

But if Zeroda joins as a member and answers any specific queries posted by members without any commercial and promotional content, this may be accepted as it benefits the whole lot of the Traderji members.

Traderji / moderators may please look into.

Thanks & Regards.

Re: new cheapest broker is here. Zerodha

NSE NOW software is actually much faster in terms of ticks, when I compare it to my sharekhan terminal it seems everytime the rate first comes on NOW and then on trade tiger.. Charting on NOW is pretty basic... NOW express is the web based platform, donno the performance as have not used.. TAME is delayed by atleast 30 secs.. I use amibroker for charting and place trades on NOW... Exchange margin for futures: SPAN + Exposure, for nifty span is around 20odd and exposure 10 odd .. for the big nifty I mean... intraday they let me trade with 50% of nifty span margin, so around 11000, I can buy a lot of nifty for intraday positions.... For overnight they ask for the entire margin.. for option premiums, like any other broker u need to give entire premium amount as a margin...
Hi Bharath:

I appreciate your input on new brokerage firm Zerodh.com. It is really a wonderfull opportunity for day traders and scalpers to cut cost/ trading expenses. At least one leg of worry is solved. Hopefully, the other leg viz., Taxes will follow suit.
I think with the advent of Zerodah the American trading environment will soon emerge which gives equal opportunity to both big players and small traders like us.
BTW, you mentioned that you use Amibroker for charting and trading thro NOW.
Where from you get the Nifty futures data feed for amibroker.
Appreciate your input.

Regards,

Find below the breakeven for nifty futs which will be applicable to Zerodha clients. This was sent to me by the reps at Zerodha. So far, it looks like a very good move to have made.
No of lots Points to Breakeven
For 1 lot breakeven 2.50
for 2 lots 2.10
for 3 lots 1.97
for 4 lots 1.90
for 5 lots 1.86
for 6 lots 1.83
for 7 lots 1.81
for 8 lots 1.80
for 9 lots 1.79
for 10 lots 1.78
for 11 lots 1.77
for 12 lots 1.77
for 13 lots 1.76
for 14 lots 1.76
for 15 lots 1.75
Further as the no of lots increase the lowest breakeven will occur at 1.70.
