Nifty Futs & Spot both moved around a 140 pts yday - how can it have a NR7 Angira ? Is there some mistake or am I missing something.

Ah .. maybe u r taking from O to C and not from PrevClo to Next day close. #JustGuessing. A huge gap up can skew the figures imo.

This is what happened actually no .... Open was say around 100 pts up .. so actually Nifty moved 100 pts in gap and then 55 pts .. and a total of 155 pts.
If you take the open as ydays close i.e. 5460 then the equation changes completely .....

If you take the open as ydays close i.e. 5460 then the equation changes completely .....

But why would you want to take yesterday's close as today's open ??

theoretical eg : TCS say opens 100 rs lower and gyrates only 20 rs for the whole day. That would show up at NR21. BUT actually has moved 120 pts na ?

Of course .. this just came to notice, so I put up .. am not saying it is wrong or that You are wrong etc ... just put it up .. maybe sometimes it helps as maybe u also did not notice this fact before (as I did not) ...

of course, its a view.

That 20 pts range will matter to the day traders. For the positional / swing trader it has moved 120 points.
