Terms on IDBI Paisabuilder?

#1
Hi
I have an account with IDBI paisabuilder however I am having a hard time understanding the following terms. Please help.

These are the option on the "Order Form" screen:

Exchange NSE BSE
Symbol Search
Transaction Type Buy Sell
Quantity
Price Type Market Limit
Price
Disclosed Qty
Stop Loss
Order Type DELIVERYJRMARGINMARGINPTST
After Market Order
Demat Account

1. Which exchange do I trade in? NSE or BSE?

2. From where do I get to know the short form of a Stock? For Example, when I type in "SYN", It shows "SyndiBank" instead of "Syndicate Bank". How do I know if this is the right stock I am investing in?

3. Qty? Do I put in the number of shares I need to buy?

4. Price type? Market or Limit? What does this mean and how shall I approach this option?

5. Price? Which price? Am I not buying the share at the price it is selling? Or can I buy It at a price I wish to?

6. Disclosed Qty? What is this now? Confused.

7. Stop Loss? Means?

8. Order Type? What will this be and on the basis of what?

9. After market order? Checkbox - what do to, check or not?

These may sound dumb to ask but I am new, so request you all to kindly help. Thanks.

My advise to you is better go to IDBI Paisabuilder ofice and ask for demo about their trading software.During your demo , raise your queries and doubts about the usage of the software.

thanks but no thanks.

You replied as if YOU just gave me the privilege to contact IDBI and view the demo. I know I always have that option, but kudos to their excellent customer service, they are never available. Would appreciate if anyone else can throw some light. thanks.

Customer service of all online brokers is non existent, I have waited 5-8 days for one reply. DeviKpani gave you the best advice, it was not meant as demeaning.
BTW, why did you go for IDBI and what brokerage are they charging?

IDBI charges 0.50% as brokerage which I guess is pretty reasonable as compared to ICICI's 0.70% with similar facilities.
