Hi Rajesh,

Ok..here is what I find is critical about my setup....to PA

a) While trading actively I will not trade more than 4 scrips....
b) These 4 scrips will be one below the other
c) if they are spaced they go out of 'Visual Range' and that is a disadvantage for me.
d) Even column such as ATP is the 7th column... and too far away for me to keep an active watch..therefore it is only glanced at once in a while because it is not very important....

Watching 4 charts at the same time would never keep me focussed & concentrated considering the area each would occupy...on my 19" monitor...
whereas only watching Buy Qty., Bid, Ask, Sell Qty. & LTP only occupies approximately 10 square inch of the monitor & doesn't require too much of eye movement to keep tabs of things....that are important....& the way the price has moved through the day is embedded and is almost like a chart in my memory...... knowing where through the day it took support or resistance and etc...

Don't know If I have been able to explain it lucidly ..but it is very much all that I have listed out above....Simple & Uncluttered....

Thats it SG.

May be the past two/three days price action is also recorded in your memory.

The less fortunate ones need charts to identify the supports, resistances etc., :hap2:

Thank you sir.

Shinchan...is that all you could say...

Let me tell you something Just because you find a few books that has a title Price Action Trading and contents of it require you to follow a chart .... does not make it 'True Price Action' Trading just because it is printed... There are hundreds of books written... various topics...does not make the contents by virtue of it being in printed form TRUE & I can take them to the dry cleaners....

Well. What ever it is, I try to learn the things. Atleast I don't need somebody to explaining me like this.

Go. Buy lots of cloromints for tomorrow.

Mr. Sinchan

I thought you were sane, normal human being.

Sorry my fault.

Please try to accept the fact that there are seemingly some genetic defects in you which, I am sad to say, current medical advancement is unable to rectify.

Goodnight all

People,

I have been reading a lot of doubts and methodology about PA on this thread....here's my experience ....

I started off in futures in Aug 09. A novice if u go back to the thread of Nifty pivot points.

Over a period of time and having it drummed in by SG ... and then following his strategy ... i have , i think , just about gathered some what about PA...

Start with Tata Motors ... SBIN.... LIC... BGR... or whatever u fancy these days...watch one scrip as a start...just keep watching the price oscillate.. ofcourse u need a basic knowledge of the scrip.... and its news... ... watch it go thru the news time , the FII kicking in at 1400/1430 hrs time... watch it at 1045/1100 hrs ..when the big indian guys take a break.... basically just see... somewhr a pattern for the day will emerge..that it is oscillating between x and y..thts what u need.... USE IT !!!...now dont expect the X -Y band to hold for the whole day.... after a while... depending on the time of the day / Interested Parties inclination ..the band shifts ...UP OR DOWN... WATCH OUT for that...... pretty soon u will know how a scrip behaves at diff times of the day... BTW all this is in futures....

It is immensely tiring ...boring... but remember .... u need to relate it to the broader market too....

get the hang of this while watching SG's mentioned add ons on ur watch list .... i think pretty soon you will be just fine..:)

Sirjee..... Trust I got that right ..:)

regards

PS : I was a totally hopeless... intra day chart person... and not getting anywhere ... till i got to know SG ka style.....

PPS : while writing this...my commodity position has taken a turn for the worse.... !!! WTF !!!..and why >>

Hi Vaibhav,

Your friend's relative...is correct... if you can Identify the participants of the market & what they are upto.... it makes it very simple... Like I said in my post below...for now I can show somebody while I am doing it & talk aloud about what I am noticing... but to put it in coherent form... for everybody to understand....is different ball game... which I will need lick before...I can post something comprehensive....
