Hi Seniors,
Can you please throw some insights into this
http://www.thehindu.com/business/markets/article623330.ece

I am a bit concerned about this bit

According to the Union Minister of State for Finance, Namo Narain Meena, the NSE had 30.9 lakh clients in the cash segment and 5.57 lakh clients in the F&O (futures and options) segment during the first quarter of this financial year. In the cash segment, 451 clients contributed to 50 per cent of the turnover of the exchange. Fifty per cent of the turnover in the F&O segment was contributed by 106 clients. Top 25 members contributed to 42 per cent of the turnover in the cash segment and 43 per cent turnover in F&O segment, respectively, during this period.

One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing

and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the

wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance,

anchors, and reads her book.

Along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the

woman and says, "Good morning, Ma'am. What are you doing?"

"Reading a book," she replies, (thinking, "Isn't that obvious?")

"You're in a Restricted Fishing Area," he informs her.

"I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading."

"Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could

start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and book you."

"If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual assault,"

says the woman.

"But I haven't even touched you," says the game warden.

"That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you

could start at any moment."

"Have a nice day ma'am," and he left.

MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads. It's likely she can Also think

I had once come across a similar story. In the olden days in Ireland, almost every house used to have a still( equipment used for distilling liquor) when there were no laws governing distillation. An Irish farmer was hauled up for illicit distillation and the judge pronounced him guilty because he was in possession of a still. Taken aback the farmer pleaded: "My lord, you can as well sentence me for rape since I possess the necessary equipment to commit the crime" and he was let off!

The Reserve Bank of India raised the Repo Rate by 25bps to 6.00%, and the Reverse Repo Rate by 50bps to 5.00%. The reverse repo rate was hiked by 25 bps more than what the market expected.

What forced the RBI's hand to tighten the reverse repo rate more than market expectations? RBI is nudging the real interest rates to become more neutral, which are negative at present.

Hi Savantji,

Thanks,
Rajiv.
