Dear Kindman,

1) Dr Alexander Elder's way of trading is not/cannot be considered as the fool proof way of trading. May be it is the Holy Grail for some people. So its not mandatory on the part of Anantji to Implement it.

2) I agree the Trend is the friend. Its nice to be on long side, when the Global cues are strong or on up move, but that does not imply that it suits the entire group stocks governing the index. Say if the "SPECIFIC RISK" ASSOCIATED WITH A PARTICULAR scrip in that index is weak, then there is nothing wrong in going SHORT AGAINST THAT SCRIP.

3) Finally, KINDMAN, i feel that your ENGLISH IS NOT BAD, excepting for a different kind of feeling that ran through my spines.. when i read, " ITS ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH". Just as you, friend, me too reflected on your views and nothing personal.

I think you are new to this thread (sorry my for ignorance if not ) . I am not writing this to defend Anant Sir as he doesn't need any . I am just putting my understanding about this thread.

First of all , it is just about the trend but, I think you will agree , in trend there might be few ups and downs otherwise why not all shares just keep rising or going down. Anant's calls try to catch all upside in the trend and if some stocks are loosing the steam then they should get aside until they get it again.

SELL here are not to short. Here SELL means to sell stocks which were bought in past and now they are not performing and might go down for some time. So better take you capital+profit and invest in another rising stocks.

He just gives list of stocks , its individuals choice to select sector(s) and stock(s) for investment .

If you would have gone through this thread , you would have got that it has been advised not to invest more than 2% of your capital allocated.(Ex: if you have allocated 20K for SBI then you should buy only 1 share )

Final thing , sorry for my ignorance , BUT I don't know who is DR ALEXANDER ELDER ? Would be glad to know about him . I feel I have set of books and experts to follow but it doesn't mean that I need to know or I should know every great person in the market.
