I agree to this point. I have been investing in MF since 2006 in several schemes. 9-out-10 schemes have given annualised return of less than 10% and half of them at 2%-4%. Bank FD/RD would have given higher returns.
Dear Sir
All MF invester should remember this points:

1. Invest in Mutual Funds in market correction
2. in market correction do SIP (Systamatic Investment Plan)
3. Book PROFIT in BULL RUN (Systamatically Withdrawel planing)
4. Dont Invest more than 5 or 6 Mutual funds
5. You should not invest all MF s in one Mutual Fund Company
6. Dont Invest very long term investment
7. Profit taking in hand is very impartent
8. if you are a small inveter you should not invest Thematic Funds
9. All ways watch fund manager performence
10.All MF s should not invest in Growth Funds some funds invest in Dividend pay out plans
