Searched the net and find out even in the US there is no such strict restriction in the name of product suitability.
It applies only for A broker’s “recommendation,”

Here, when we are not trading with broker's recommendation, such logic doesn't apply.

2111. Suitability
(a) A member or an associated person must have a reasonable basis to believe that a recommended transaction or investment strategy involving a security or securities is suitable for the customer, based on the information obtained through the reasonable diligence of the member or associated person to ascertain the customer's investment profile.
A customer's investment profile includes, but is not limited to, the customer's age, other investments, financial situation and needs, tax status, investment objectives, investment experience, investment time horizon, liquidity needs, risk tolerance, and any other information the customer may disclose to the member or associated person in connection with such recommendation.

How will these institutions make business with proposed restrictions

In USA, this Product Suitability idea is applied to A broker’s “recommended transaction only”.

दो गधे बोझा उठाए चले जा रहे थे। एक की पीठ पर नमक की और दूसरे की पीठ पर रूई की बोरियां लदी थीं। रास्ते में एक नदी पड़ी। नदी के ऊपर रेत की बोरियों का कच्चा पुल बना था। जिस गधे की पीठ पर नमक की बोरी थी उसका पैर फिसला और वह नदी के अंदर गिर पड़ा। नदी में गिरते ही नमक पानी में घुल गया और उसका वजन हल्का हो गया।

वह यह बात दूसरे गधे को बड़ी प्रसन्नता से बताने लगा। दूसरे गधे ने सोचा कि यह बढिय़ा युक्ति है, ऐसे तो मैं भी अपना भार कम कर सकता हूं और उसने भी बिना सोचे पानी में छलांग लगा दी किंतु रूई के पानी सोख लेने के कारण उसका भार कम होने की जगह बहुत बढ़ गया।

दूर से यह घटना देखते एक संत अपने शिष्यों से बोले, ‘‘मनुष्य को सदा अपना विवेक जागृत रखना चाहिए। दूसरों की नकल कर बिना अपनी बुद्धि लगाए वैसा ही करने वाले सदा उपहास का पात्र बनते हैं।''

So, after every 5 years, SEBI tries to implement this!

This time according to reports, the Finance Ministry is actively backing SEBI. But, a large-scale protest is building up slowly ...
I expect this time also, SEBI will fail miserably.
Exchanges, Brokers, Small Retail Traders, Economic/Business sites/ channels all are against SEBI.
Probably FII-FPI don't know about these regulations yet. Big fishes can't live without small fishes.

We are traders, we used to find the pattern quickly.
Here the chance of failure of implementation is very high - Probability is 'Tripple Top Reversal Pattern' at very strong resistance.
