Quadra Safe Trading Strategy - I

TP...here is a magnified view of the chart....but MAs are looking very different from the ones posted by you....basically here all three Wilder's MA have a slight tilt down.....while the 50-EMA is almost flat.....so basically No Trade...for tomorrow atleast....:)
SG
Hi TP.

From the magnified view in SG's post above, you can see that there is no SELL signal. For SELL signal the order of the three Wilders MAs should be 5 below 8 and 8 below 13 (Green below yellow and yellow below red). But in the chart you can see that the order is different, 5 is below 13 and 13 is below 8 (Green below red, red below yellow). The position of EMA50 is not considered. Therefore, there is no Sell signal. So, no question of trade tomorrow or even day after.

In absence of Wilder's MA, I had to use Simple MAs - a big disadvantage. Any workaround ??

@ TP did you try with EMA(9), EMA(15) and EMA(25) as per mentioned here?

I guess you have used SMA in the above chart?
Voila !!

So we have 9 < 25 < 15, whereas for sell we need 9 < 15 < 25. So no sell signal.

For buy it would be 9 > 15 > 25. A pity that Sharekhan's Trade Tiger does not have a stock screener.

Satyen...there is no Smoothed Version of Wilder's MA.....in fact Wilder's MA itself is a smoothed version of normal MA....use the Wilder's that is available in your Amibroker....it is the same....!!!

The rules as I understand them, using EMA 9, 15, 25 & EMA50.

1) Enter when EMA 9 > EMA 15 > EMA 25
2) SL : Previous pivot low. Trail SL to successive pivot lows

Reverse for shorts i.e. Enter when EMA9 < EMA 15 < EMA 25. SL : Previous pivot high.

When the EMA crossover is not clear then no trade.

Works on any TF.

SG, is it right ?

inthe above nifty chart at the close of last bar we have wilder avg order 5>8>13 , then what to see at 50 EMA ? to see if its greater than prev. days , and do we consider color of the bar ? like if the last bar would have been black then wait for a while candle ?

Enter at break of high of last bar ?

Regards
