I have found out a tedious way of manually updating the EOD prices in Patternz. I donot know whether this information is of any use to anyone. You can open the individual price files of individual scrip in windows explorer and manually update the data to patternz. After entering the EOD data in dd-mm-yy, open, high, low, close, volume, adj. close format save the file in csv format. To give a hypothetical example, you can update the data manually something like this by typing the respective figures in the respective rows of excel spread sheet price file of Patternz.

Drawback is that the process is very tedious one. I have not been able to find out any automatic updating fecility of EOD prices from yahoo web site. As far updating EOD prices are concerned, in my opinion, FCharts scores overs patternz. I donot have the privilege of using other popular paid softwares like amibroker, metastock, tradestation etc. So I cannot comment upon them. I use FCharts, aptistock. If any other member has found out any new thing, however trivial it may be, kindly post here. Because, for non technical guys like me (I mean persons with very little knowledge about softwares or their method of operation), it gives lot of hint and guidance. In fact, I learned the usage of various softwares such as FCharts etc. from the postings made in this forum.
