People who have made religion their business, will do nothing to help the economy. Most probably they will ask for more gold in prayers to improve the economy. I'm happy as an atheist.

Raj Ji,
I think you have missed one more temple name where number of devotees coming across the nation. And the Devotees are not only Hindus but Muslims and Sikhs also. Over 20000 daily visitors and Thursdays it bursts over 50000. Every year record breaks on first day of New Year(1st Jan.) I will not talk about the Temples Treasury but If I'm not wrong this temple would be in Top 3 temples of India.

This temple is............... SAI BABA Temple of Shirdi located in Ahamadnagar district of Maharashtra.

Our temples wealth is given by devotees...I'm not saying it should not help the country but how gaurantee to say that it will be used for right purpose? It will invite another scam from this govt.

And why only temples we can name some masjids and churches as well. Why govt is not mentioning that..? It will harm their vote bank?

I think these temples should start food supply for poor instead.
