Dear murthy sir,
as per your advice I will post a new version of LIVE DATA RANJIT excel file with a help file very soon. The SIZE of help file is more than 324KB.please guide me as to how i can post it.
thanks and regards.

Dear Ranjit,

The help what I meant was an additional XL sheet, containing text and ONLY the snap of FCharts 'Live Data' window. My idea was that it will be just one single Excel file for use and also for help. This will enhance the user experience and reduce the user support requests through the forum.

Thanks for all your efforts.

Dear Mr.Kumar & Mr.Murthy
I have downloaded the FO1.xls file of Mr.Kharikumar and made some changes in that to combine the options with ticker name as mentioned by Mr.Murthy. Though i am not so proficient in excel or excel macros just used the concatenate function in excel (found through search mode in excel) and applied the same. I just tried this. But didnt tested the same in market hours. I hope so the file will plot graph in F Charts! :) I will chk the same tomm during market hours...since the ticker is not unique this cant be compared along with other source of ticker or may be as pointed by Mr.Murthy we have to do some changes in the excel file (FO.xls).

Thanks,
Karthik

dear karthik,
thanks a lot for modifying the excel sheet. yesterday i realised that what fcharts recognised was whatever comes from the excel sheet. and today i created a market watch in MYnse and imported the same to sheet with realtime data . this i imported to fcharts and it is working perfectly. i guess it will only be for intraday. i dont know about eod data. i wanted to be sure of the method and see it for another day before i posted.

we need not go through the process of concatenation ( though i really appreciate your effort) , fcharts will accept the data it is given. as long as the columns are specified correctly , it will read what comes through the excel worksheet.

i am attaching what i made . i had a few problems initially but it was working fine throughout the day.

Dear Hari,
I didnt had time to come to this page after 25th due to year end work load. Today saw your post and downloaded the excel file. Oh! realised F Charts will pickup the colomn what we specify...let me chk the file on 9th Apr during market hours. Thanks for sharing. By the way do you know any website which can give such data for Commodities. I tried MCX, but its refresh interval is 15min!

Dear All,
I have gone through this thread & found it very very useful for technical analysis. Thanks a looooooooootttttttt to all thread members as everybody on this thread is of very helful nature. I am also using fcharts for TA but till date I didn't get the answer of the question asked on 1st page of this thread. The question was related to steps of configuring the XL sheet to work in coordination with Fcharts suggested by Mr. Aniruddhh. I am repeating the same question:

How to use filters in Fcharts to configure the step 12 suggested by Mr. Aniruddhh

13. Go to Filter  Select Monday Friday  Set time From 0955 to 1530.

If anybody have done the settings or know the answer of this question then plz update.

Thanks a lot for all of your labourious work & sharing your hard work with others.

You all are very very good people.

Regards,
Sumit

I guess the filter option is available only in the Fcharts pro version. but just go through all the posts, you will understand how to import the data even in the SE version. with the excel sheets posted by ranjit.

Dear Mr. Ranjeet,
Thanks a lot for your reply but the filter option is not there in my Fchart. Actually the problem is that I donot have the PRO version of this software that's why the filter option is not there. Anyways thanks again for your quick support.

Regards
Dear sk,

The filter option is not be available in FCharts, including the latest version. But this is NOT a serious limitation. As I understand, This filter option only saves the trouble of 'switching' the import ON in the morning at 9:55 & OFF in the evening at 15:30. This switching facility does not effect the data import or charting in any other way.

I also have only the free version and never faced any OTHER limitation on that account.

Hope this answered your query.
