Late reply since I missed the post...but u know the answer now ;)

CV
Yes I do now...
well to add to my earlier post...the last few months have been defining for me after my interaction with you (CV)..earlier I was taken in by Elder and stuff...now becoming more system oriented...Stridsman is the guy for me now...activetrder is the mag, with their strategy lab...things like simulation, testing etc that I never used to touch are of prime importance..one more thing that fascinates me lately is indicator dissection...what started off in this forum as a defence to indicator bashing, ended up in studies that opened my eyes in how we or at least I got taken in by the hype about indicators that are mathematecally junkyards...
still struggling to understand why elliott wave and gann angles work..golden ratio and planetory harmonics influencing stock price is beyond me..except take the opportunity to screw the crowd that reverse position at defined elliott levels.

continued....
alan farley's book (refd by CV) explained the actions in stock that general pattern recognition based trading would fail to explain (and i was struggling with many)...classic lines such as "Many good patterns only predict a single price swing and profit potential evaporates as soon as the move begins" have changed my trading forever (for the better of course)..
finally believed CVs saying that there are no secrets in the market that cannot be (deciphered/understood/mastered?)...only more years of work on my part will take me there...

Great to know that
Abt EW, I know of no professional trader who uses it real time for his trading, its a good lagging indicator that creates good reference points but IMHO should bear no resemblance on active trading. Most of the guys who are impressed with forecasting ability of EW are basically new to the game and the advisors more so.

Hi CV,

I am a full time trader......have always been inquisitve about numbers & that's what got me started, wanting to breakdown figures to know what secrets they hold, I do trade in Nifty Futures most of the time & a little before the quarterly results are due, I take long position in a few CNXIT Future and square of the position on the day TCS is declaring results, they invariably declare it after the Market has closed.....and the returns on this not bad....:)

I manage Individual Portfolios provided the prospective investor agrees to the fact that I will trade only in Futures, basically same as what I do with my money...

My mission to let those whose immediate response to Futures Trading is "Oh! That's Very Risky"....is to turn them around to the Fact that it is the safest way to stay in the market & make some real Money.

The Pivot Points posted by me, is basically to be on the side of 'Smart Money'
Will let you know a little more about the System in another post.

By the way I also trade on Nasdaq & Dow...Yeaahhh keeps me awake in the through the night.........:)

I guess that's that for now.

Warm Regards

hi jl
Nice to see you here. Would be more interested in hearing more from you.
I have friends who trade Nikkei mostly, not SPI as much as its not very liquid. b/w Do you trade Osaka or SGX?
SPI is very liquid during the period for Austrialian equities.
I trade Simex Nikkei because it trades 15 minutes earlier than Osaka Nikkei.

Hi All,
You can trade almost all the major international indices, Currencies, commodities and stocks if u have a reliance money/CMC markets account from india. you need to go through reliance money to open this account and then a single platform from CMC markets provides u all the major international indices, Currencies, commodities and stocks. The accont can be operationalon initial investment of $700 which can be transfered from ur bank in india. I have just got the account and its good.

Hello,

Which charting software you use to trade Nasdaq & Dow?
From where do you get data?
I need Historical intraday 5 min tick data of Nasdeq or Dow to backtest my system. I will be thankful to you you if you help me.
