Do you wait till you get the "completed downloading EOD data" message ? I suggest you wait for that.

So you don't get these two specific indices or all the indices are absent in the downloaded file ?

i was using this fantastic application since last month, but now a days it gives prob.., when i start it, it says error connecting to remote server.,, plz solve this

Sir,
I am still wating "completeddownloading EOD data" message, But, I could not get all indices. only available company's data. Please help me. How solve these problems.

Hello,

There have been a few people on this forum who use Getbhavcopy to download the data from NSE server and experience the following problem.

System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: Unable to connect to the remote server.

I would like them to tell me the following:

1. Are the behind a proxy ? This is a proxy issue very much common with windows application trying to consume a webservice
2. Please check your Internet Explorer settings

Go to Tools> Internet Options > Connections TAB > LAN Settings button

In the Proxy server section see that the "Use a proxy server for you LAN" check is UNCHECKED.

Let me know if you still have the error

May be the following reasons,

1. NSE Server may be unavailable or very slow response for a short period.
2. Your Internet May be slow.
3. Firewall in your system may be blocked the net access of this program.

I have a broadband connection running at 20mb/sec speed and its very reliable.

3. Firewall in your system may be blocked the net access of this program.

I checked this too, the firewall is turned off.
I also do not use a proxy.
