Right. All my equity purchases are done using GTT. I still have pending GTT orders for Coal India @208 and Sbi@531

Don't use it for FNO, though.

I tried GTT for intraday options in Dhan and Zerodha. Orders didn't execute all the time. It just says order triggered then goes inactive...

I tried intraday GTT in Groww for ETF. The price movement is too fast. Suppose, if the scrip is trading at 10.14 and you place a GTT order to buy below 9.98, then the order may get triggered if the price drops, but not necessarily get executed.

When the trigger price is reached, the broker will place a new buy/sell order with the exchange. All this takes time, and the price may have moved out beyond your price by then. All you would have then is a pending order.

This is why I place my equity GTT orders with a limit price. The market may move anywhere after the trigger.
