Sales of new homes surged 27% in March and orders for most durable goods climbed, indicating the US economy sped up heading into the second quarter. The gain in new-home sales was the biggest in 47 years as buyers rushed to qualify for a government tax credit and the weather improved, a Commerce Department report showed. (Bloomberg)
This is big facade.. (I call as fed sponsered manipulation of economic data).
The sales has jumped cause Govt is giving Tax Credit to buy new house and that scheme is ending in by 30-April. We will also see good jump in April Data. (and if Obama can get further extension to this then maybe for few more months).

Reality is far different from this. Employment is not picking up. Govt is extending the period for which people can claim unemployment benefits.. Banks are not distributing loans as fast as they should...

I am keeping my fingers crossed..

Happy Trading.
