Money will not double. Theoratically, on the day after the split, the share price will be divided by split ratio i.e. in this case, the market price will be half on very next day. So no difference to anybody's networth.
In practice, the price may not be exactly half, it can be little bit more or less.. but that is how mkt works. It doesn't follow theory.
Only place where stock split helps is in improving the liquidity and trading volume.
On The Day When It Goes Ex-Split & Ex-Dividend, Theoretical Opening Price Shall Be Half (1:1 Split) Of Previous Days Closing Minus Dividend Amount Per Share, If Ex-Dividend Date Happens To Be Same.
