Nifty Futures Profit for 23rd october 2009.

Nifty Futures opened at 5046.20.

This is between H3 - H4.

We sell below H3 and buy above H4.

We went long at H4(5050).
Then stoploss hit at 5024.
Also, we go into fresh short at H3(5024).
loss = 5050 - 5024 = 26 points.

Our targets till L1(4989 are achieved).
Market made a low of 4987.

So we cover our position at L1(4989).

So profit = 5024 - 4989 = 35 points.

Total profit for today = -26 + 35 = 9 points.

Profit of 400+ with one lot of Nifty

Once again proved this method does not work well in narrow range.
Radha your comments please
What is the work around for this?
Also some times I have seen the price takes off may be 1-2 pts above buy levels
For example lets say NIFTY BUY is 5000 (L3) it opened at 5020 then it comes down and takes off from 5002/5001 and flies to say 5050. I generally follow it bookish way - I will not enter this at all. Any way to optimize this to see a range
like 5000-5005 buy
I have seen this happen on numerous occasions

I am trying to see the relation and reaction of price w.r.t Pivots and Camarilla to see if I can increase the positive trigger rate, also trying pivot MA. I have just started and will post the observations after few weeks.

Nifty Futures Profit for 26th october 2009.

Nifty Futures opened at 4999.00.

This is between L3 - L2.

We wait for the price to come in range.

At 10:05 the price came in L3 - L4 range.

We buy at L3.(4990).

Our stoploss at L4 gets hit.(4971). (loss of 19 points)

We enter fresh short at L4(4971).

Our stoploss gets hits at L3(4990). (loss of 19 points)

We enter into fresh long at L3(4990).

Our targets till H3(5026) are achieved.

price went high till 5043 and reversed. So we book profit at H3(5026)
profit = 5026 - 4990 = 36 points.

We enter fresh short at H3(5026).

Our targets till L4(4771) are achieved.

Low is 4965 and then price reversed.

So we book profit at L4(4771).
profit = 5026 - 4771 = 55 points.

Total profit for today = -19 -19 + 36 + 55 = 53 points.

Profit of 2500+ with one lot of Nifty.

You are right we should not enter buy if price touches 5001-5002 and goes till 5050.

We should enter when we have clear signals.

Nifty Futures Profit for 28th october 2009

Nifty Futures opened at 4823.25.

This is between L2 - L3.

so we wait for the price to come in range.

Soon price came in range L3 - L4. Price went down till 4792.05 and reversed.

So we buy above L3(4814).

All our targets till H1(4860) are achieved.

And price reversed from 4867. During reverse journey our trailing stoploss at H2(4860) gets hit.

So our profit = 4860 - 4814 = 46 points.

Again price came in range L3-L4.

Buy triggered again at L3(4814).

This time price didnt moved much. So we assume we covered the futures at same price.

Total profit for today = 46 points.

Profit of 2000+ with one lot of Nifty.

For finding out Camarilla levels for the day after expiry, which contract values should be taken - Current month or the previous month ?

Ex Oct contract expired on 29th Oct, so for finding the levels for the next trading day on Fri 30th Oct,
which contract HLC values should we take - Oct or Nov ?

answer for you : November.

Generally when we trade, we trade in current month futures.

If it is the last 2 days of expiry, we trade next month futures.

Nifty Futures opened at 4814.

After few minutes around 10:10 am, the price came in range H3-H4.

We buy above H4 and go short at below H3.

Sell triggered at H3(4822).

Our targets till H1(4788) got reached and the touching 4781, nifty reversed. so our stoploss at H1 gets hit.

So total profit = 4822 - 4788 = 34 points.

Profit of 1500+ with one lot of Nifty
