I was looking for historical eod data of nse which are adjusted for splits, bonus, etc, in cvs format.
After searching traderji.com extensively, I found few places to download data, but I'm unsure about the reliability of them. Most of them (may be all) are not adjusted.
1. http://groups.google.com/group/nsebse_eod/files
Here old data is posted but I'm unable to download them. After downloading 500 kb or so, download terminates on its own.
2. http://www.nairvijay.com/stocks/
Data from 2001 to 2005.
3. http://indiansharetraders.tk/
You will need to register but its simple. Historical eod available.
Direct link to eod data http://www.4shared.com/file/12010140/52011541/NSE_EOD_Data_from_03-11-1994_to_09-03-2007.html. Change the extension from .tk (dot tk) to .rar (dot rar) and extract using winrar.
I downloaded the EOD from 1994 to 2007. It seems it has been downloaded using DE Pro and data of few dates are erroneous. For example 11/05/2001, 10/01/2000, 23/02/2000, 30/03/2000, 30/04/2001, 24/04/2002 are few dates in which there is abnormally large number of scrips. Strange is the fact that even if u download bhavcopies from nse of these dates, they also have abnormaly high number of scrips. Every scrip is listed more than once on these dates. Can anyone explain this.
4. http://www.desitradermall.com/mallsite/
You need to register. Data available since january 2007 only. Each day has 1 zip file which contains future, option, equity data of nse and bse.
5. http://in.groups.yahoo.com/group/chartguru/
This yahoo group claims to have the data but my membership is still pending.
There are many data downloader which download data from nse site.
1. http://www.investbulls.com/download.php?view.158
DE Pro is a trial ware valid for 15 days. It downloads nse bhavcopy from nseindia.com. But some bhavcopies from nse itself has problem (like bhavcopy of Feb 23, 2000) where its size is double the usual size of bhavcopy and has a lot of additional data. Also, I'm unsure how this software will adjust data for bonus, splits, etc.
2. http://www.islindia.com/products.html
Please comment on the reliability of the above data sources and also if you know any other, please put them here.
Also, how to check whether the data has been adjusted or not. Is there any method to do this with use of some software since manually doing this adjust is going to be an extremely painful job.
