How to precisely know What happened for the case of SBI given that free float mkt cap for SBI was 80,761.92 on Friday and 79,869.09 on Monday.
There is no way to know what happened
precisely.
FFM = stock price * (stocks available freely for trading) = excluding the promoter holdings/govy holdings.
So FFM depends on the stock price as well.
On Mondays close was less than Fridays close and hence a dip in FFM.
Promoters holding is updated in NSE quarterly I guess.
If NSE updates this more frequently (daily basis) then we can know if promoters dumping/accumulating shares which IMO they should do.
