Hi Friends,

As I have seen the current trend on this forum is to say, buy this, buy that, and DONT! keep a Stop Loss,

The markets are going to move up eventually.

BUT! Is this what they will make of you before reaching the target?

There is something called a business loss and something called and idiots loss

Hope you all realise the importance of taking a business loss, to come back and make an attempt the next day.

Regards.

Hi,

I do believe that SL is must for any Day Trader. I have never traded without SL. The agonising part is, half of my LossTrades would have been Profitable but for SL. I have tried with deeper SL ( say 2 - 3 %) without much success. Never had guts to trade without SL. Still can not stop from grudgingly admire, Gutsy Traders.

Cheers

Hi PAKatil,

Where you place your trade stops and how is part of your battle plan in the markets,.....something that you have to keep tweaking till you come to the right strategy, etc etc

As for gutsy traders, they usually land up in the gutter somewhere,somehow.......so don't bother admiring them!Plan your trade, and trade your plan.

All the best!

Bhai,

Stop Loss is a must for every trader. Whether it can be day or swing trading.

Guys trading.... using TA must adopt SL, as it is a part of TA I believe.

Long term investors according to fundamentals may differ, and they have their own code of trade....that is different. But they invest for years.

Hi all,

Just my 2 cents worth on this matter . I have gone thru the referred thread and the person concerned has said he is a hedger and a hedge is a stoploss.

He has clearly defined a level where he is going to hedge and beyond that he is going to be delta neutral whatever the market does. So he has the pockets to weather that loss. Just his style of trading.

To each his own I say. :)

Cheers and trade well.

There was one stock called FM Goetze.
It was doing mighty fine last year. But after Jan's fall it has been falling consistently, thankfully I exited it at slight profit in Dec.
