I have predominantly been a day trader who has always been looking to trade turning points. To do so i have extensively spent a lot of years studying and applying VSA and Richard R Wyckoff's techniques. The idea behind trading turning points is to capitalize the beginning of the new trend and ride it for as long as possible. To do so i have made a list of criteria which allows me to have a checklist of which trade i should or should not take. Because of this the frequency of my setups is not very high. A setup might occur in an asset a minimum of 1-2 times in a month. And there are times when i have not jumped on board since my checklist did not allow me to do so.
This made me start looking at things differently and i started to learn a few things about trend following methods and setups. I have understood a couple of trend following setups (which i will explain subsequently) and would like to start a thread where if anyone knows anything about trend following can chip in and contribute and everyone can benefit from it. I will be spending in around an hours everyday to discover and explore all trend following techniques available to us in books and try to figure out which one is effective at a given point of time . To do so i need the help of members here.
Any feedback/suggestion/criticism is most welcome.
Cheers
