Hi
I read this circular on NSE stating that max brokerage to be charged on options contracts is 2.5% (only on premium) or Rs. 100 whichever is higher.
You can read it here on - http://www.nseindia.com/content/circulars/insp8338.htm
To confirm that there are no newer circulars regarding the same i checked the penalties section - http://www.nseindia.com/content/circulars/insp7489.htm
I trade with Icicidirect which charges a flat fee of Rs. 95 per lot. There is no max limit. So if you are trading an option let's say of Rs. 5 you can end up paying about 41% brokerage + taxes on your contract value.
What is your experience with other brokers?
Regards
